PUBLIC SAFETY

  • In 2020, Bauters wrote and successfully passed Emeryville's Measure F, which provided funding for more first responders and the city's early child education center. (Source)​​​

  • ​As a victims' advocate, Bauters has worked across the country to organize crime survivors to pass public safety laws that break the cycle of violence in communities. (Source)

  • Bauters is the only candidate for Supervisor endorsed by first responders, including Alameda County Firefighters, Berkeley Firefighters, and Piedmont Firefighters.

  • During John's time on the City Council, Emeryville's minimum wage has risen to the highest in the state at $19.36/hour. (Source)
