MEET JOHN
John Bauters is a pragmatic leader who has served on the Emeryville City Council since 2016, including three years as Mayor. He’s spent his career fighting to lift families out of poverty – as an eviction defense attorney, as well as a policy and financial expert addressing homelessness, victims’ services and community-based mental health services. Now, John is running for Supervisor to bring change and new leadership to Alameda County — to restore public safety, build more affordable housing, reduce homelessness, support small businesses, and create more livable communities for everyone.
